Ingredients:
1 Tbsp Instant yeast
1¼ cups Water
3 Tbsp Sugar
4 cups All-purpose flour
½ cup Whole wheat flour
2 tsp Salt
½ cup Toasted pili nuts, roughly chopped
½ cup Daily Apple Sweet Roselle Chips
Procedure:
- Pre-heat oven to 375ºF.
- Dissolve the yeast in ¼ cup of water with 1 tablespoon of sugar and 1 tablespoon of all-purpose flour.
- Mix and sift all-purpose and whole wheat flour in a bowl and make a well in the center. Pour the dissolved yeast mixture, then add the remaining sugar and water, and salt.
- Knead for 15 minutes.
- Knead in the pili nuts and Daily Apple Sweet Roselle Chips for 5 more minutes, until smooth and elastic.
- Set aside to allow the dough to rise until double in bulk.
- Divide the dough into 3 parts and shape each portion into long tapered loaves. Let rise until doubled.
- Place in a greased pan, sprinkle dough with flour, and bake 40 to 50 minutes.
