Centella asiatica (Centella) consists of bioactive terpene acids identified as asiatic acid and madecassic acid with their respective glycosides, asiaticoside and madecassoside. Gotu kola is known for its adaptogenic and cognitive enhancing activity. In Ayurvedic practive, it is known to be a blood purifier.
